Around the old town center you will find the partially well-preserved medieval town wall from the 14th century. The stone wall, 8 to 10 meters high and up to 1.5 meters wide, was built around the entire original city. To this day, entire sections of the wall with watchtowers (originally there were 26) have been preserved here. A deep ditch and a redoubt supplemented the original city fortifications. More under

The pride of the town of Tachov is the town wall from around the first half of the 14th century. It attracts attention not only because of its good state of preservation, but also because of the unusual shape of the slender, high towers.
