This beautiful monumental church building is located in Baarland. The church was in a very poor condition in the 1980s. As a result, it was decided to transfer the church to the Old Zeeland Churches Foundation. It was no longer possible for the local municipality to restore the church. During the restoration of the church, the entire roof was replaced. The name of the church comes from the monastery in Middelburg whose patron saint was St. Martin.

Due to declining church visits, various activities are organized to raise money for the church, including open church days around May and June during the markets. On these open church days, a lunch, a personal tour and a classical concert are organized.

Classical concerts are also organized in the winter months. Due to the special construction of the church, beautiful sounds are produced by the organ. This special experience is definitely worth a visit!
