Hiking
Until 1835, magnetic gravel ore was mined from this pit in opencast mining. In 1937 the mine was abandoned due to insufficient ore deposits.
Since the year 2000, the "hope tunnel", the former magnetic gravel and nickel mine in the district of Mättle, has been open to visitors as a show mine.
