Consonno is a ghost town in Lombardy, known as the "failed Las Vegas" of Italy. Born from an ancient settlement, its transformation began in the 1960s when the entrepreneur Mario Bagno purchased it, aspiring to create a tourist center. Despite brief popularity, natural disasters and failed projects left it abandoned. Today, it is a patchwork of abandoned and graffitied buildings, evoking a post-apocalyptic atmosphere. The idea of demolishing it again is being considered.
