The Protestant church is quite big for such a small place! It was built in the late-Romanesque and early Gothic style in the 13th century and it is well worth the short detour to see the three-aisled "pillar basilica" with its 50-meter-high octagonal tower in peace. It is considered one of the most beautiful "works" of Early Gothic in Germany. The church is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
