Remotely on the outskirts of Reichenbach, a place where you probably only pass by chance, lie the remains of around 28 people. They were forced laborers and their children, most of whom died shortly after birth. Unfortunately, there is no memorial plaque here to commemorate the fate of those buried.
In the middle of the complex there is a Russian Orthodox memorial cross.
From 1942 to 1945 there was a labor camp with Russian deportees between Fils and the railway line. they were used in the workshops of what was then the German Reichsbahn.

During the Second World War there was a camp with Russian forced laborers near the train station in Reichenbach. According to different sources, between 600 and 1,900 people lived there who had to work in the workshops of the German Reichsbahn. Eleven of the forced laborers who died in captivity were buried in the city cemetery, and 28 others, including 15 young children, were buried in their own cemetery on the outskirts of the city.

A very sad example of neglect of responsibility. The "Deutsche Bahn" has to provide a clearer signal of its responsibility here. On the gravestones, behind the bare letters, the pain is described. I am indignant and ask for a more appreciative appreciation of this cemetery!
