In the middle of the small town of Ammelgoßwitz. Probably a prime example of small towns where the inhabitants are disappearing and where the houses are falling into disrepair.

As early as 1235, a manor house existed in Ammelgoßwitz, which had been designated a knight's estate since 1573. The manor house burned down in 1890 and was rebuilt in 1910. It is also known as the Schlenker estate.
The Ammelgoßwitz manor house is in dire need of renovation and, unlike the significantly altered outbuildings, is a listed building.
