The town hall was built in the years of 1575-1578 in the style of the Renaissance. Before that stands the Roland of the city. It was carved in stone in 1610, and is almost six meters high. He is the only surviving Roland in the Free State of Saxony.

The whole market place is very nice and you can end the day by sitting in front of the ice cream parlor and steak house with a view of the town hall.
