This monument, erected in 1818, commemorates the deployment of the Prussian troops during the battle of Waterloo. When the Prussians arrived on the battlefield late in the afternoon, this was a decisive factor. On top of the monument is the Iron Cross, introduced in 1813 by King of Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm III.
