Bismarck Monument at Jesuitenplatz

On the occasion of the 100th birthday of Chancellor Otto Fürst von Bismarck (1815-1898), the monumental limestone statue was created in 1915 in the style of a medieval Roland figure. Between 1845 and 1865 Bismarck visited Baden-Baden several times as a Prussian diplomat and politician. The city honored Otto von Bismarck in 1895 with the honorary citizenship.

The BISMARCK MONUMENT is located at the foot of the Jesuit echelons and was built by the sculptor Oskar Alexander Kiefer (1915)

The city honored Otto von Bismarck with honorary citizenship in 1895.
