The temple (congregation) founded by the Wagner family for local Protestants was put into use in 1791. It was dedicated as a Catholic church on October 1, 1956 (it was taken over in 1945). The tower was renovated in 1970, and in 1984-1985 new walls were built inside, the galleries and some of the pillars were removed.
