It is the ruins of an old refrigerator used in the past to collect snow and then be able to make ice from it. It is known that it used to have a roof, although today only the remains of the walls and the well itself remain.

Huge ice well that was once used to make ice from snow. This is one of the largest of many on the Northern slopes of Aitana. It once had a roof and would have been manned all year.
