Reichenau artist Karl-Heinz Barsch uses discarded or discarded objects for his kinetic sculptures. The work "Circus Maximus," located in the Town Hall courtyard, is activated by a push button. Careful observers can recognize all sorts of Konstanz themes. Among other things, the lake, the Konstanz Carnival, the Sea Life Center, and the Town Hall itself form part of this curious artwork. The sculpture was installed on the fountain cladding and publicly inaugurated in 2011 by the then-Mayor Horst Frank.
