"This former Hungarian border watchtower stood close to Fertöujlak (Mexico Puszta) until 1993. After disassembly and renovation, it was built here in June 1994. Today it is used for nature observation instead of its former military function, with the viewing platform at 6.5 meters 'The tower is 16 meters high.'This is on the sign of the National Park Administration, also that the entrance is at your own risk. The upper platform is only accessible as part of a National Park tour. I had from the first platform, which can be reached via a very steep metal stairs, a wonderful view over the National Park Neusiedlersee - Seewinkel and the conservation area Sandegg - Neudegg, in which a herd of European White Donkeys, an old domestic animal breed is kept.A very idyllic place, where it can take longer. Seating invite you to eat your own snack. Cranes flew over us several times and a rabbit hopped through the donkey enclosure. A small piece of the access road is very sandy and the bike must be partially pushed.

Unfortunately I had to flee from the brakes, but next time I'll climb up.
