A beautiful land art intervention has been made in the remains of an old sand quarry (between Godewaersvelde and the Katsberg): two hollow spherical structures made of willow wicker provide access to a pool. It can be done via stairs... but it is more fun with the climbing rope.
Definitely worth making a short detour for this.
