Belonging to the municipality of Rodeberg and the community of Struth, Zella Monastery is one of the scenic gems of the Eichsfeld. Zella, or originally Friedensspring, is located near the Friedaquelle and is one of the oldest monasteries in the Upper Eichsfeld.Today it houses a Protestant old people's and nursing home.Of the monasteries in the district, the Benedictine monastery of Zella is the best preserved in terms of architecture.
