The name "Thuras" for this small group of ruined huts appears on the Fraternali cartography and refers to the first village you come across when climbing towards the upper Thuras valley, shortly after the most tiring stretch of the entire itinerary. At this point the valley opens up in all its splendor, we have left behind the narrow passage created by the stream, which the road overcomes with some really steep hairpin bends (recently "softened" by a concrete surface which makes the climb more regular) and from this point on the climb becomes more regular, always in the center of the wide valley. the few cars that insist on going up generally stop before a characteristic wooden bridge that you come across shortly after the huts, after the bridge, the only building you come across (obviously before the bivouac) is an isolated daisy farm. the beauty of this valley is all here, in its still intact appearance!
