Tips
In 1848 the first step had been taken with the line between Mataró and Barcelona. The Iron Bridge was one of the most important communication nodes on this journey.
This iron bridge over the Congost River was built in the 19th century by the Compañía de Caminos de Hierro del Norte de España (NORTE) and is one of the very few ancient iron bridges that still exist.
