FriedWald Kirchheimbolanden - The special cemetery in the northern Palatinate at the foot of the Donnerberg
The FriedWald Kirchheimbolanden is located directly above the town of the same name, Kirchheimbolanden, which the locals affectionately call "Kibo" or "Kerchem". The Donnersberg is the highest elevation in the Palatinate. The FriedWald Kirchheimbolanden lies in the shadow of the high plateau.
Only about five kilometers separate the burial forest on the edge of the North Palatinate Bergland and the Donnersberg, which, at 686 meters, is visible from afar and defines the landscape. Beeches and oaks characterize the burial forest on the old Roman road in the forest area "Natternbrunnen". Blueberry bushes, grasses, lichens and mosses grow on the ground. Many trees are deeply branched and give visitors the feeling of being well protected.
