The history of Stolpe began in 1251, when Margrave Johann I confirmed the Prenzlauer town charter. Stolpe was temporarily owned by Pomeranians. In 1446, when Elector Frederick II took over the region, the chapter of Pomeranian rule ended. Until 1945, the manor house, outbuildings and park were owned by the v. A book. After that, the manor house initially served as a youth work yard and is still used today as a children's home.
The landscape park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné with Buch's burial has been largely preserved. The former keep - called Grützpott - from the 13th century is the remains of an extensive castle near the castle, located on a hill.
