The southern part of the city wall from the hotel "Deutsches Haus" over the Mönchsturm to the parish church "Johannes der Täufer" is a "must" when visiting Hammelburg.
Perhaps one or the other has heard of the Mönchsturm in the last few years from "Jakob and Adele", a pair of storks that have listened here for several years and raised offspring.
The Hammelburgers and the surrounding area showed great sympathy for the storks.

Along the city wall between Mönchsturm and the Catholic parish church between 2010 and 2016 (every two years) there was a very nice craft market with a French flair.
