Founded in the 14th century, this medieval Franciscan friary was founded by the O’Briens of Thomond, who then ruled much of north Munster.
It is worth parking your bike up to visit the friary as the exquisite 15th and 16th century sculptures carved into the limestone are worth seeing up close.
