Until 1826, the service took place in a chapel in Kinheim. Then the construction of today's parish church began.
The planner was the builder von Lassaux from Koblenz. In 1827, one year after construction began, the parish church of St. Martin zu Kinheim was completed. In the following decades, the classicist building was redesigned and changed many times. In the war year of 1943, the parish church of St. Martin received three new glass windows on the right side, which show the relationship to viticulture.
