The Esperloop is a small river in the municipality of Gemert-Bakel that originates from the Snelle Loop and later flows back into it. The length of the Esperloop is about eight km.
This narrow stream meanders through the Grotelsche Bos to end up in the Snelle Loop near the hamlet of Grotel.
The water of the Esperloop is very clean, but it contains a lot of iron. This is because an important part of the water that feeds this stream comes from the zone along the Peel Edge Fault. This is a deep geological fault line, along which deep groundwater wells up.
