At Rathausgasse 2, next to the gothic town hall, you will find our neo-gothic church, built in 1858-64 and considered to be an important building of this period. The ceiling paintings and the colored windows are from the Jugendstil period. The choir room was redesigned in 1998. The church serves the Christian Catholic bishop of Switzerland as a bishop's church. The bishop's chair is therefore set up in the choir.
