The Taj Mahal in the Waldviertel is worth a visit at any time of the year. It is a real mausoleum (the burial chamber is on the lower floor).

On the main floor there is the chapel (there is a small hole in the wooden door that you can look into) and the viewing terrace. The story that led to its creation is known as the "Klinger Tragedy" and took place in the 1920s. Please ring the bell of the mausoleum once to commemorate the deceased - the bell rope hangs immediately to the left behind the passage!

A very beautiful place for a final resting place and particularly picturesque now in autumn with the colorful leaves! Here, in remembrance of the tragic story, you can enjoy the silence and the view at Sybille von Klingerstorff's favorite spot and see the Kollmitz ruins from afar.

We hiked the 60s route from Raabs to the Kollmitz ruins (Knight's Trail) and back via Uhufelsen, Mausoleum and Kollmitzdörfl until we were back on the hiking trail along the Thaya.
