    This 25m tall observation tower was built in 1885 on a medieval motte and bailey for Major-General John Sprot.

    Eighty metres south of the Tower, there is also a small mortuary chapel, although it is locked by an iron railed enclosure. If you are at the right time of the year here, you might get a deluge of snowdrops.
