    Hiking

The Bering Land Bridge Visitor Center is in Nome, Alaska, about 100 miles south of the actual preserve on Front Street. In the Visitor Center there is an interactive map, which offers insights into the region's major land features, flora, fauna, and local communities, life-size skulls and pelts on display, and a bookstore and gift shop. If you're visiting during the summer months or the Iditarod in March, you can also enjoy ranger programs in the surrounding area.
