    Hiking

The parking lot and picnic area on the river at Tyn y Groes is the starting point for two forest walks. The car park is located just off the A470 near the village of Ganllwyd.
The King's Guards Trail is an accessible path along the river and past the tallest trees in the Coed y Brenin Forest Park.
The Penrhos Mountain Trail is a rugged mountain route with fantastic views over Eryri (Snowdonia) as a reward.
There is a flat lawn in the car park where children can play.
There are also barbecue facilities and the car park has toilets.
