    The Honsellbrücke is a two-lane road bridge with two-sided pedestrian and cycle paths over the entrance of the Osthafen am Main in Frankfurt. It was created in the course of the harbor construction from 1908 and was inaugurated in 1912. From the bridge you have an excellent view of the Frankfurt skyline and the building of the former wholesale market hall. The bridge is named after hydraulic engineer Max Honsell and is today a Hessian cultural monument Between September 2011 and the end of 2013, the bridge was renewed and strengthened. Railings and lamps of the bridge are elaborately decorated. Reliefs point to the work in the harbor and the ramp to the Hanauer highway is guarded by the stone sculpture of a panther.Type: steel arch bridge
