However, the oldest monument in Kamionek is a well located on the peninsula.

During the Tartar invasion in the 13th century, the people of Kamionek did not want the enemies to stay longer in their village. Therefore, they covered the well with a large limestone boulder and told the Tatars that they drew water from the Odra River, far away from the village. This made the invaders furious, so they took severe revenge on the local population, burning their houses and slaughtering them. When new settlers moved to the village, they did not know about the existence of the old well. One hot summer, the local pond ran out of water. People had to bring it from Kamień, and for animals from the Oder. Desperate residents went to the Franciscan Fathers for advice to Mount St. Anna. They advised them to go with a procession begging for water to a miraculous well famous for its graces and a pilgrimage church.
