The Wittelsbach Count Palatine Ottheinrich had this hunting lodge built as a token of his love for his wife Susanna. It was originally built as a moated castle, but the moats have now silted up.
Today the floodplain information center is located in several rooms of the building.
The hunting lodge can generally only be viewed from the outside. Unfortunately, the interior is not open to the public!

A beautiful Wittelsbacher hunting lodge awaits you here. It stands right next to the cultural landscape of the floodplain.
