Here in the old town there is one of the best ice cream parlors in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district.
It is the ice cream parlor "Venezia". In addition to delicious ice cream, you can also get freshly baked waffles.

Volkmarsen was first mentioned in 1155, and a little later also as a town. The cityscape still gives a good idea of medieval Volkmarsen, because there is a completely planned cityscape with a (no longer existing) ring wall and four arterial roads from the center. There aren't that many half-timbered houses left locally, but the town is still beautiful. The Town Hall Square is a comfortable place to be and there is even a manual carousel here. There are some vacancies in Volkmarsen, but there are several snack bars and an ice cream parlor for hikers. All in all, a worthwhile stroll through the city.
