In the twelfth century, the monastery was founded as a Cistercian convent by the Counts of Arnstein as the owners of the Ruppin estate. With the Reformation in 1542 it was used as a Protestant women's monastery. In the Thirty Years War (1638) the monastery complex was destroyed by imperial troops. Some of the old monastery buildings are still in ruins.
Located directly on the Wutzsee with a small swimming area next to it. However, stopping off is only possible directly in town.

Very beautiful and beautifully located monastery complex directly on the idyllic Wutzsee in Lindow.
A place ideal to seek peace and quiet.
