Shipman Knotts is a 1,926 feet (587 m) Wainwight fell in the Lake District National Park. It sits along the delightful Kentmere Horseshoe route. Alfred Wainwright's summit is actually the east side of the wall, however the main path runs on the left side and there is no stile or gate to reach the east side. The dry stone wall is fairly high and delicate so it's wise to celebrate reaching the top on the other side.

The summit comprises three rocky hummocks on the east side of the wall. At 1,926 feet (587 meters) high, the middle one is considered the highest point and gives a good view of Longsleddale.
