Small place, big church. The 56 meter high tower of the "St. Lamberti "church you see from afar. It was built in the 18th century and extensively renovated at the beginning of the 21st century. The construction of the church is closely related to the fact that here in the Weferlinger castle, the family of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Kulmbach were located. On the south side of the church overlooking the Aller reminiscent of the Baroque mausoleum and the monument of Friedrich Christian von Kulmbach-Bayreuth to the youngest son of the family, who founded the Markgräflich Kulmbach-Bayreuthische Foundation, dedicated to the support of the needy and the promotion dedicated to education in Weferlingen and still exists today.

It is worth stopping in Welferlingen and looking at this interesting complex of church, mausoleum and the old school building next to it. In the church you can also see a permanent exhibition of works by the artist Max Peiffer-Watenpfuhl, who was born in Weferlingen. Likewise, a short detour to the other side of the Aller to the donjon Grauer Hermann exciting. This is the old castle tower, from which you can enjoy a great view of the Allertal.
