The Drachenwand is a rock face at 1176 m above sea level. A. Altitude in the Salzkammergut Mountains, a mountain group in the Northern Limestone Alps. Due to its attractive location on the western shore of Lake Mondsee, it is a popular destination for hikes from St. Lorenz. Its wooded southern side has only a slight gradient, but to the north it forms an impressive, approximately 700 meter high, almost vertical rock wall that dominates the panorama of the northern Mondsee (Wikipedia).
