St. Jakob Parish Tower Villach

At 94 m, the city parish tower is the highest church tower in Carinthia, which can be visited free of charge with the Kärnten Card. The building was already famous in the Middle Ages, as an Italian chronicler wrote in 1486 that this tower was as magnificent as any other in Venice at the time.
The lower part of the tower is still medieval today. Due to fire and earthquake damage, it was rebuilt several times over the centuries; its current shape and height dates from 1847.

You can see this church tower from afar. After all, it is also Carinthia's highest. The church itself is well maintained and can also be visited free of charge with the Kärnten Card.
