The Boketeich, idyllically located in the forest, is located below the Bodensteiner cliffs. It is beautifully open to the south, and it is also the largest body of water in a pond. Right next door is the forge pond, followed by the Lindebach.

As early as the Middle Ages, the boketeich was created, fished and mainly served to raise carp. A long belt of reeds winds around the pond. In addition, there is an oak tree in the water and a lot of other trees as well as a long jetty on which there is also a bench.

Parking is available at the "Bodensteiner Klippen" car park directly on the L500. From this parking lot, a small path leads to the smithy pond and a branch from this path finally also to the Boketeich.

The crossing in the area of the temporary bridge is a bit adventurous - be careful .. hold on tight😉

You can either include the Boketeich in a cliff tour or pay a visit on your own!
