The Bodensteiner cliffs extend for a length of about four kilometers between Bodenstein and the Jägerhaus am Hainberg.They are built from the Hilsandstein of the Lower Cretaceous. This sandstone is mostly placed in the so-called sub-aptium and is around 110 million years old today.It is advisable to wear good shoes.
