The minery was founded in the 13th century. The current church dates back to the 17th century, the main altar is baroque and a Crucified Christ and Dolorosa by Gregorio Fernández.
There is a hostel for pilgrims and an inn with individual rooms with bathroom.
The Poor Clares make high-quality, artisanal sweets.
