With 300 inhabitants, Gottlieben is the smallest municipality in Switzerland. The village is located at the narrow confluence of the Rhine in the Untersee of Lake Constance. A dragon's head as a gargoyle adorns the oldest half-timbered house, the Drachenburg (now a hotel).
