At this location there is a private park garden connected to a historic double house.

Historical interpretation: The building was originally part of an 18th century castle, so-called Hof van Baeckelmans or Lissnyder Castle, located on the canal bank. During the widening works of the canal in 1979, the castle had to be demolished and was subsequently rebuilt on a reduced scale. The flax merchants' warehouses also disappeared during these works.
Ecological green management is applied in the private park garden. nature is thus given every opportunity to develop to strengthen the regional fauna and flora. Here we are creating an ecological site that will further develop in peace and with limited management.
After a thorough renovation, the double house will be given a new residential purpose. The front and back garden of the double house are adjacent to the park area.
