In the south of the city center of Arnstadt there are remains of the city wall, the so-called "high wall". The Jakobsturm with its carillon from 1996 is the belfry of the demolished former pilgrim church St. Jacobus. With a little luck you can listen to his charming carillon on the tour - as I do today;) The Riedtor closes the listed Riedplatz to the south.
