The Weilerhof is located between Ranzel and the Cologne district of Libur and consists of three farms. The Weilerhofer See lies to the northeast.

The suffix “von Wilre” or “von Wylre”, which is derived from the later Weilerhof district, has been known since the 14th century. The oldest known mention of the Weilerhof is in a document dated July 1, 1349, in which a Mr. Gerhart Rost von Wylre is named. In 1353 Nella van Brughe left the Weilerhof to one of her sons. The farm later became the property of the Duchy of Berg. It was one of the largest farms in the Lülsdorf administrative area at the time. In later times the farm was divided into three independent business units.
