Kolham's village forest was closed in 2022 because it was too dangerous. Many trees fell due to a combination of fungi, drought and storm damage. Together with the province and Staatsbosbeheer, the residents have decided to cut down almost the entire forest and then make a plan for a new forest. In 2023, new trees will be planted.
