The beautiful, small, medieval town church in Fürstenberg is worth a visit. The high altar with the picture of the Last Supper is beautiful. We found the church open.

The core of the Michaelskirche is a late Romanesque building from the beginning of the 13th century. The choir and parts of the ship's masonry have been preserved from this period. The church was partially destroyed in the 30 Years War and then rebuilt. Inside there is still a lot of historical equipment to be seen, including a. the baptismal font, the painted ceiling and in the choir the stalls of the Freiherr von Eppe, who sat at the nearby Reckenberg Castle (stalls from 1584 and 1775), baroque altar. Some older tombstones have been preserved in the churchyard.
