A beautiful castle complex that was excavated in the 70s and 80s. The foundation walls as well as the cellar and well were exposed again and made accessible. Right next to it is the Georg Viktor Tower, built in 1905. This was built in memory of Count Georg Viktor from Waldeck. From up there you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Sauerland and as far as Kassel.

At the moment, QR codes for a virtual puzzle are sometimes attached to the sports stations around the tower! :)

The large ruins of the castle stretch out on top of the Eisenberg. The well with its 25 meters deep is particularly impressive, as mining within the castle used to be carried out here. From the Georg Victor Tower you have a wonderful view of the complex. The ascent is free and open during the day during the summer months.
