Mentioned for the first time in the 14th century, originally a moated castle, whose moat was fed by the water of the Orcs. Property of Corvey Abbey until 1803. In 1671 the castle was essentially given its present appearance, two medieval round towers were integrated into the baroque building. The neo-Gothic gable is from the 19th century. Reckenburg was enfeoffed to the von Eppe family for over four centuries. In the Fürstenberg church there are still two stalls belonging to this family from 1584 and 1775.
