Hiking
The Strengsee was created since 1990 by the cessation of drainage through the natural fairway of the Emster waters from the Netzener to the Rietzer See. Before that, from 1962 to 1990, this area was diked and drained. Since then, the isolated water surface has been refilled with rainwater and groundwater and has good water quality.
